Rincon EL Faro

There’s something about Puerto Rico that just pulls the art out of you… the light, the colors, the breeze, the way the sky never looks the same twice. This piece was born from that feeling — a quiet moment watching the lighthouse stand strong against the ever-changing sky, surrounded by lush, untamed beauty.

This painting was inspired by a photo my friend Carmen Roman-Brown captured, and I also spent a few hours in person this morning just watching the lighthouse… taking it in, noticing how the light shifts, how the palms move, how everything feels alive around it. That combination stayed with me and made its way into this piece.

I wanted to capture not just the scene, but the energy of the island — warm, vibrant, a little wild, and deeply grounding all at once.

Puerto Rico continues to inspire me in ways I can’t fully put into words… so I paint it instead.
